Fleet Battle Strategy[Feb 13, 2009]

When a battle starts (generally speaking, when one’s fleet arrive in an enemy galaxy battle starts automatically), please refresh the present galaxy interface quickly to enter the first round. The enemy fleet(s) will appear in the corresponding Stargate (the teleportation gate among galaxies). The system will then impartially judge which side attacks first.

After the last unit on the battlefield has finished its action, the second round will start. The system will then judge all the units on the battlefield again. Battles are automatically controlled by the computer based on fleet and warship design. Players can only observe each round until the battle is over. No other actions may be taken while in battle.

To help players distinguish armies from different factions, the system gives each unit a symbol according to its faction. Even players’ own units have a symbol too.

Battle Flow
After the battle starts, the flow goes as follows,

Lock onto a Target ->Move -> Attack -> Finish

Each unit on the battlefield will attack its target according to the players’ settings.

Note
When there are several weapons with different firing ranges in a fleet, and those weapons are unable to reach the target they’ve locked onto, the weapon with the longest range will move to choose a target and attack first. This means that if there are weapons with a range of 3, 5, and 9 in a fleet; the weapon with a range of 9 will move to choose a target first. When the range 9 weapon is reloading and becomes unavailable, the range 5 weapon will then move to choose a qualified enemy.

About Planets AI
Planet based weapons are always the last to fire. When there is more than one planet involved, the attack order is random. There are also two kinds of attacks, including the closest mode and the highest mode.
