New warship purchase/sale function[Jun 1, 2009]

As Diplomacy improves, players will be able to contact Pirates to buy and sell Pirate ships. Science Points are required to buy Pirate ships.

Players can buy up to 500 ships once per hour.

New function for purchasing ships from Galactic Pirates
There are 2 purchase modes available for purchasing ships, Common Purchases and Negotiated Purchases. Players making a Common Purchase are not required to spend Mall Points, but the purchase cost is higher. Players making a Negotiated Purchase must spend 1 Mall Points to complete the purchase, but they will get a much better purchase price. (When purchased, Pirate ships will be automatically sent to the home galaxy. Only home galaxy resources can be used to purchase Pirate ships.)

New function for selling ships to Galactic Pirates
There are 2 purchase modes available for selling ships, Common Sale and Negotiated Sale. Players making a Common Sale are not required to spend Mall Points, but the sale price will be lower. Players making a Negotiated Sale must spend 1 Mall Points to complete the sale, but they will be able to charge the Pirates more for the sale. (Only ships in the Home galaxy can be sold to Galactic Pirates. Resources obtained from selling ships will be added to the home galaxy.)
